You're right. They actually are a flawless replication of about every single assassin out there

Die in Arborstone and you will experience the res problem first hand.

All I have to say is that the awsomeness of Talon Silverwing makes up for all their flaws. He's just awsome. :P

Thumbs up

I find that the Factions henchies are a great improvement. I opened up nearly all of Cantha, fought the imperial armorer, and went to the Undercity with them and hardly if ever die. And that is going with either my Assassin and my Ele. I also think it a matter of the combo of henchies you pick. I always take 2 ele, monk, rit, Talon, assassin, and the ranger. The two eles are earth ele's and they do are very helpful when coming across the Jade Brotherhood because of their power.

And like everyone has said, all I have to do is Ctrl + Traget = Goners. The few times that I have died as a Assassin, I still targeted them when I was dead and they STILL accepted the command. I have been situation where I was dead and only 3 henchies (usually its the rit, monk and one fighter, usually Talon or the ranger) were left and THEY STILL got the job done by themselves.

I have never been more happy with henchies than I have in Factions. And Sister Tai at least stays alive and heals unlike Alesia who dies how many times during a quest.

The only problem I have with henchmen is their inability to run away when you do, too avoid additional aggro(Which is quite common in this chapter, over lapping patrols in incredibly small areas.)

Henchmen are GREAT!!

ive beat 90% of the missions with them in factions bar the last 3 missions, and even then it was very very close (couldnt beat shiro with them because im a monk, and they dont do enough damage and theres not much i can do about it)

If you think henchmen are crap, then you havnt yet learned how to use them properly, i would post suggestions but i have done 10000x times already, please search around there is some great advice out there.

However the assasin henchman is the most useless hench ever, dont use him for reasons mentioned (mainly he agross with his tele).

Run away whilst calling yourself as the target, (run dont walk backwards), it does help a little).

yeah theus has a point.. they tend to keep aggro when you have to move to another area like in the grove (kurzic) mission- but it's not too bad.. best let em do all the healing/protecting- if you go with the highest damage output you can deal with your char you'll roll through mobs.. healing does'nt work well with henches because they don't dish out alot of damage like a real group would- if you take out mobs fast, you can take on huge waves without a death.. here's a pic of the kurzic mission before the vasburg armory and the build I used- with spirits up and hexing the mobs at 16 channeling- hit numbers that are on par with an elemental or ranger.. that was the last boss see the numbers- you can hit 120s on casters with just rift and it's aoe
